Cover Contest - ArterioFlow-Tree of Life - Calma Poster
Cecilia Calma, R.T.(R), is the fifth winner in the Radiologic Technology Cover Art Contest. Her submission “ArterioFlow-Tree of Life” was inspired by angiographic and computed radiography images she’s taken in her 22 months as a practicing radiographer. “They reveal the delicate and complex nature of the human body. The vessels illuminated by contrast media (in an angiogram) remind me of the twisting branches of a tree. Both images convey a sense of life flowing within.” The original was created on cotton paper using black permanent marker, a silver metallic marker and charcoal. Cecilia is a radiographer at Sentara Bayside Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
