Crab Spider on Milkweed Coordinating Items
Crab spiders, like the majority of things, come in any manner of size and colour. They get their name because they resemble crabs both in body shape and the way they walk. They are ambush hunters lying in wait for an unsuspecting insect to wander by, then pounce. These items have either a picture of a male standing on his head to appear big and threatening so I'd run away, or a female guarding her eggs. A couple days afer this picture was taken, she wrapped the leaf around her and her eggs - my guess is for further protection from predators and weather until the spiderlings hatched.
