Dante Meeting Beatrice Poster
This is a reproduction of Henry Holiday's "Dante Meeting Beatrice" of 1884. This is Holiday's most important painting and is an oil on canvas measuring 56 inches high by 80 inches wide. The scene is inspired by Dante's autobiography, La Vita Nuova, in which he admitted that he hid his attraction to Beatrice by pretending to be attracted to other women. In this scene Beatrice ignores him because she had heard rumours of his sham. Holiday meticulously researched the buildings and perspectives of his paintings and this Florentine bridge can be identified as the Santa Trinita. This masterpiece is in the Walter Art Gallery in Liverpool, England.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
