The "Day of the Dead" is a Mexican celebration where family members come together to honour the lives of their dead loved ones. It's a time where people can come together and reminisce about them. There are a number of Mexican customs observed but they may not be readily apparent to outsiders, such as the wearing of our favourite colours or the consumption of traditional dishes such as tamales, mole sauce, and pan de muerto for example.The holiday is traditionally commemorated on November 1st and 2nd. "Dead Day" refers to the day following Halloween when people in some countries perform religious services for their deceased loved ones. Similarly, many traditions, such as praying and laying flowers on graves, are observed on this day. As a result, this day is also known as "All Soul's Day."
