This design features a painting by the English artist Sir Edwin Henry Landseer (1802–1873), who was renowned for his paintings of animals, particularly horses, dogs and stags. This image depicts a stag, a male deer, that has fallen into a raging torrent. There is also a hound dog next to the deer that is being carried by the fast-moving waters of the stream. There is a wild mountainous landscape in the background. The location may be the highlands of Scotland, where Landseer had spent time. The original artwork was painted in 1832.
