Delft Bird on Branch with Fruit Repro c. 1650 Tile

This tile shows a bird on the branch of a fruit tree. It is reproduced from one of a set we have of antique hand-painted Dutch Delft tiles dating to the mid-1600s. It can be used as a wall or backsplash tile, fireplace surround, coasters, keepsake boxes, and a host of other decorative and gift items. Tiles are available in 4.5 and 6 inch sizes. Delft tiles date back to the 1600s when blue and white Chinese porcelain imports reached the Netherlands, so this is an early design. The popularity of these items was a great influence on Dutch tile artisans and Delft became the centre of production for these usually (but not always) blue and white tiles.
