Illustration taken from "Mother Goose's Nursery Rhymes: a collection of alphabets, rhymes, tales and jingles." published in 1877 by George Routledge and Sons of the Broadway, Ludgate, London and in New York. The book has illustrations by Walter Crane (1845-1915), William McConnell (1833-1867), Sir John Tenniel (1820-1914)), Harrison Weir (1824-1906), Johann Baptist Zwecker ( 1814-1874 ) and others. "She went to the Fruiterer’s To buy him some fruit When she came back He was playing the Flute."

These look even better in person. Certainly my expectations were exceeded. I purchased several in the set and once framed will make a lovely grouping. The price of each was ridiculously low, a bargain to be sure. I am delighted with this purchase ! I will review just one in the set, but the same holds true for all. These are printed on very good quality card stock. The black and white colouring is quite vivid, and although new still have a vintage feel about them.

My order was probably an awkward one! I asked for a range of different fine-art prints, in postcard size. It was all freshly printed, delivered quickly and at a very reasonable price. Best quality matt finish I've seen on a fine-art print.
