    This Double-crested Cormorant is a prehistoric-looking, matte-black fishing bird with yellow-orange facial skin. I saw this cormorant while I was kayaking on Lake Champlain and I spent almost 2 hours watching and photographing it in hopes it would catch a meal, but it never did.
