A marvellous image by William Blake (1757-1827), inspired by a comet he witnessed in 1811. The print was found in the artist’s estate from where lots of my stuff comes from. Her copy was on very old rag paper and seemed to be hand-painted. Maybe a rendering of an early 19th century tourist souvenir? An art student’s copy? The real thing?? (KaCHING) Looks equally marvellous on all kinds of EVERYTHING, including posters. Note: something extra neato, to wit: Mr. Blake painted a face on the comet. Wanna see more old? I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame. This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again. One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up. Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font. Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
