A photograph that I took whilst viewing the 2024 total solar eclipse was used to create this digital colour pencil sketch. The eclipse is in the diamond phase. With the moon nearly covering the sun, the rays are vibrating throughout the sky. There is a planet, Venus, visible in the rings. The rings are hues of purple, burgundy, green, grey and black. I fell in love with this painting by Claude Lorrain as soon as I saw it but with a limited budget I had to go for the cheaper version but I was truly amazed when it arrived - it’s as beautiful as it looked on the site!
