This Suprematism artwork titled - Beat the Whites with the Red Wedge is made by the famous artist, El Lissitzky using lithography on paper in 1920 at Vitebsk, Belarus. Thus Lissitzky soon devoted himself to Jewish art, exhibiting works by local Jewish artists, travelling to Mahilyow to study the traditional architecture and ornaments of old synagogues, and illustrating many Yiddish children's books.
