English Snow Valley - Personalised Plaque

A rare occasion of abundant snow in South East England transformed a popular country path into a small snow valley. The wintry winds and the bitter cold couldn’t stop the locals from spending the day riding their sledges down the snowy hills. LOCATION: Eastwell Park is a large parkland and country estate in Eastwell, about two miles south of the civil parish of Challock. Eastwell is a hamlet and civil parish approximately three miles north of Ashford; part of the county of Kent, the Garden of England, in the United Kingdom. FACTS: Eastwell Park is mainly a farming concern, raising crops and sheep. The estate encompasses the Eastwell Towers(a Victorian Gothic style gatehouse), the ruins of St. Mary’s Church(currently cared for by the ‘Friends of the Friendless Church’), the man-made 40-acre Eastwell Lake including a historic lake house and the Eastwell Park Boathouse(a popular wedding venue), a former fishery, and Eastwell Manor, a very popular country house hotel and spa. There’s even a WW2 bunker(possibly a repurposed reservoir) and a rumoured sealed tunnel system 1-2 miles opposite Eastwell Manor. Eastwell Towers, the lake house, the church ruins, and Eastwell Manor are all grade 2 listed buildings.
