This notebook beautifully displays a complex history. On side shows the proposed monument commemorating the 1885 expulsion of the Chinese from Eureka, California. The other side shows advertisements for the Chinese businesses that were thriving a year before the expulsion. The notebook itself can be a tool for excavating hidden histories. The advertisements tell a powerful story. Some of them are a bit hard to read, but that's because they come from 1884 sources.

Lovely design, I liked how I was able to personalise every element. printed perfectly. Nice and glossy front page, the pages inside are a little warped but that could be to do with the weather however I don't feel it ruins the notepad.
