Photographed in March, 1886, this group photo was taken at Geronimo's request during the Canon de los Embudos ("Canyon of the Funnels") peace conference in Mexico. Geronimo well understood the value of a photograph and seized opportunities to stage shots showing his group as a force to be reckoned with. From left to right are: Perico, Geronimo, Naiche, and Tsisnah. The group is well armed, wearing plenty of .45 cartridges for U.S. rifles, carbines and revolvers.
