Fairy queen by Sophie Gengembre Anderson CC1210 Poster
Poster inspired by a beautiful fairy painting by French-English artist Sophie Gengembre Anderson (Take the fair face of woman, 1869). The picture shows a lovely fairy girl with a crown of colourful butterflies. She seems to be holding a gift in her hands, a small round drawstring bag, adorned with gold thread and pearls.
The full name of the painting is very long and said to be borrowed from a poem by Charles Ede: Take the fair face of woman, and gently suspending With butterflies, flowers, and jewels attending Thus your fairy is made of most beautiful things. The painting is also known simply as The fairy queen.
Image file updated in February 2020. The new file is larger (2531 x 3312 pixels) and of better quality. Some careful enhancements have been made with respect to light, contrast and colours. Also disturbing dirt and scratches has been removed.
The poster is set to maximum size, or 25.31 x 33.12 inches. For everyone who wants to add a touch of fairy magic to their homes.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
