The three paintings of faith, hope, and love and combined together. In Christian theology, there are three theological virtues (faith, hope, and charity), which are spiritual gifts of God. Faith (πίστις) is steadfastness in belief . Hope (ἐλπίς) is the expectation of and desire of receiving while refraining from despair and capability of not giving up. Love or Charity (ἀγάπη) is selfless, unconditional, and voluntary loving-kindness to others such as helping your neighbours without the expectation of reward. The Bible references the three virtues in 1 Corinthians 13:13, "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
