FALMOUTH TALL SHIPS FESTIVAL Cornwall Photo Postcard

Some of the sailing ships taking part in the race, the large square-rigged vessels which were flying flags from all round the world, were a spectacular sight berthed on County Wharf at Falmouth Harbour. Captured in this photograph were, left to right and back to front Cuauhtemoc (Mexico 1982), Capitan Miranda (Uruguay 1930), Dar Mlodziezy (Poland 1982), Frederyk Chopin (Poland 1992) and Georg Stage (Denmark 1934), were available to the public for tours during the four days of festivities prior to the start of Race One to A Coruna in Spain, then on to Lisbon in Portugal for the start of Race Two to Cadiz in Spain.
