You can also weave strips to make the 11x13" sheets, and then decoupage, or laminate. I've also used acrylic paint, which seals the paper. Coat both sides, and use cheap, Dollar Store plastic wrap to cover your work surface There is a line below "First Day of School" where you can write in the grade that they are entering, using a white opaque marker, "white out", gel pen, or other white or pastel writing instrument.
