    First Rain, Ivy and Brick Wrapped Canvas

    I photographed this from a mansion at the Empire Mines State Park in Grass Valley CA. This is where the owner of the mines lived which literally sits over miles and miles of tunnels created during the gold rush. I have a lot of family history in this area and in the mines in particular so it was important for me to visit. Towards the end of our shoot the first storm of the season hit and I rushed into the mansion and began shooting. This is the result. Check out the poster version below.
