Flotsam Man is an enigma. The viewer is left to go on his own interpretive journey, knowing only that the figure stands adorned by time, sensation and the sense of being. The painting method is intuitive rather than logical, with many hours spent pacing in front of the canvas before the right choice could be made, based on feeling, rather than any formal criteria. Each of Gary Dorking's pieces is a one off, an idea rather than one of a series. Each is a separate journey, sometimes described as a Russian doll, with the dolls on the inside being bigger than those on the out, and the closer you get the more you find.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame. This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again. One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up. Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font. Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
