Flowers in a Wooden Vessel (by Jan Brueghel) Large Christmas Stocking
This design features a painting by Flemish artist Jan Brueghel the Elder (1568–1625), who was the son of the eminent Flemish Renaissance painter Pieter Bruegel the Elder. It is a still-life painting showing a vase containing an overflowing bouquet of flowers in various bright colours, symbolising the beauty of nature. The original work was completed circa 1606, and it is now housed in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna, Austria.
