This Romanticism landscape masterpiece titled, Figures in a Village in the Dolomites was made by Franz Richard Unterberger using the oil on canvas technique. He was the eldest son of an art dealer established in Innsbruck. After completion of the normal school he attended the commercial academy in Munich, but soon moved to the Academy of Fine Arts , where he of the professors Clemens von Zimmermann and Julius Lange was taught.
