Hagerstown & Frederick Railway Freight Motor #5 is turning 100!
Share our love of #5 and support the H&F Railway Historical Society with this shirt commemorating the 100th anniversary of Frederick's custom built trolley! A vintage photograph of #5 travelling near Lewistown, Maryland has been colourized by the society for this occasion and is splashed across the front within the outline of Frederick and Washington Counties in Maryland where #5 served. The H&F Railway's "Heart of Maryland Route" logo and the H&FRHS name can be found on the shirt as well.
Freight Motor #5 was constructed in the Frederick Shop of the H&F Railway in 1920 and served as an express car and freight locomotive until retirement in 1955. Today the trolley can be found on display along Main Street in Thurmont, Maryland beside the route it once took daily.

The item was heavier than I thought, which is a good thing. A lot of t-shirts these days are made from low quality thin cotton which don't last. This is much thicker cotton that should last much longer. The print was centred perfectly. It is a good size and the colours are nice and vibrant. Exactly as the image shows.
