French Revolutionary Calendar for 2018

The French Revolutionary Calendar or Republican Calendar was introduced at the beginning of the French Republic. Usage of the calendar meant that many events of the French Revolution are known by their revolutionary dates (18 Brumaire and 9 Thermidor). Under the last version of the calendar, the new year begins in September, so year 226 has begun before 2018. This is a conventional, Gregorian calendar but uses artwork from historical, revolutionary calendars. Depictions for the 12 months of the revolutionary calendar (Vendémiaire, Germinal, Brumaire, Floréal, Frimaire, Prairial, Nivôse, Messidor, Pluviôse, Thermidor, Ventôse, and Fructidor) are matched with the closest conventional month.
