Freshwater Moray Hoodie

It is a member of the Moray eels family and is native to Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Borneo, New Guinea, Philippines, Fiji and Australia. It is found in shallow marine coastal waters, estuaries, river mouths, and for short distances upriver. Its diet consists almost entirely of fish, and occasionally shrimp, bivalves, and worms, and it prefers to eat live food. It spends much of its life in freshwater but migrates to saltwater to spawn. It can reach a maximum length of 150 cm (59 inches).
