Golden Chinese Dragon Grosgrain Ribbon

This golden Chinese dragon with a red background is based on an ancient Chinese dragon statue. (If you prefer a different colour background simply go in to the customisable section to change the colour). Unlike the west, Chinese dragons are good fortune, the dragon is one of the strongest symbols and it’s symbolism is new beginnings, achievement and success. The colours black, red and gold are all auspicious colours in Chinese culture. Red is a symbol of fire and brings good luck, joy and happiness. Although these days red is used more for celebrations. Yellow is the colour of earth while gold signifies affluence/wealth. There are seven flowers as seven is a lucky number in China. These are Cherry blossoms which stand for power and beauty (esp female beauty). I have included one bud as according to my research this should be included as it means the continuous journey of life. The inspiration for this piece was twofold. Firstly, I love the dragon and wanted to do more designs with it featuring. Secondly, I made a Chinese top once with gold, black and red and felt that would be a great theme.
