Grand Canyon Desert View Photo Print

This is a shot of the Grand Canyon, taken from the eastern extent of the South Rim, part of this huge national park in Northern Arizona. This particular vantage point is called Desert View, and the views from this location are simply spectacular. This shot wasn't taken at the Desert View tower itself - i actually walked a couple of hundred yards around to the left of the visitor center and set up on the rocks at the top of the cliff face. Even given the danger, i had plenty of company at sunset - with many others decided that the precipice in front of the tower took away somewhat from the view, from a photographers perspective at least.
