These postcards feature a wild Green Vervet Monkey. Back in the 17th and 18th centuries, French and British colonists brought Vervet Monkeys to the Caribbean islands of St. Kitts and Nevis as pets. The monkeys eventually got free, and established themselves on these Caribbean islands where they roam free, much to the delight of visitors. The photo was taken on the Caribbean Island of Nevis by photographer C. Del Toro of Studio Elysée LLC.
