Gretchen (Kunigk) Fraser Two-Tone Coffee Mug

This publicity shot was taken of Gretchen Fraser while she was training in Idaho for the Winter Olympic games of 1948. The winter games were held that year in St. Moritz, Switzerland. Ms. Fraser was the first American to win a Gold Medal in Skiing for the United States. Gretchen took the Gold in the Women’s Slalom just a week before her 29th birthday.
