A view of the inside of the Ari-Sephardi Synagogue on the holy city of Tzfat (Safed). Customisable text reading, "HaAri Synagogue - Tzfat" also appears. There are two synagogues in Tzfat which bear the name of the holy Ari (Rabbi Isaac Luria), one, the Ashkenazi synagogue was built two hundred years after his time,the other, the Sephardi synagogue was where he studied Torah and Qabbalah and prayed. The synagogue is the oldest in Tzfat dating from as early as 1522. A small room near the bima is where the Ari is said to have been visited by the prophet Elijah.
