Halloween Fantasmagorical Cicada Envelope

This is an annual cicada. These insects emerge from the round for their last shedding and begin their afternoon and evening song fests in late July through August. Just about everyone knows cicadas. There are three main types in America – the annual cicada that hatches each year, the 13 year cicada that emerges every 13 years, and the 17 year cicada commonly called “17 year locust”. They are not locusts but rather are related to leaf hoppers and spit bugs. They have two large eyes on the side of their heads, and three tiny eyes on top of the head between the larger eyes.
