Mandalas traditionally were used spiritually and ritually by those practicing Hinduism and Buddhism, but have since become a universal symbol of peace, unity and harmony. It's term originates from the original language, Sanskrit, which literally means means “circle." One can envision a perfect harmonic circle enveloping them and radiating from them and outwards towards others.
