Hamsa-Chai with home blessing Poster
The Hamsa hand (Arabic) or hamesh hand (Hebrew) is an old and popular amulet for magical protection from the envious and brings good luck and happiness. It shaped like a hand, with three extended fingers in the middle and a curved thumb or pinky finger on either side. Many hamsas will have an eye displayed in the palm of the hand. The eye is thought to be a powerful talisman against the “evil eye.” Other symbols that appear on the hamsa include fish and Hebrew words. Fish are thought to be immune to the evil eye and are also symbols of good luck, fertility and prosperity. Going along with the luck theme, the word “CHAI” – meaning for a long life in Hebrew. I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
