As I was out exploring the beaches on the Kona side of the Big Island, I came across this beautiful endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal. I was happy I had my telephoto lens with me so I could get this beautiful photo. The Monk Seal didn't have a care in the world and was enjoying rolling around in the nice warm sand. They are protected by the State of Hawaii so please if you come across one on the beach, please keep your distance.
