Hester's Autumn Adventure Postcard

Hester is a curious young girl. She loves spending most of her time outside, in nature, observing and learning. Here she is out and about on a crisp, cool fall morning. The sun is just high enough in the sky to start burning off the nightly autumn mists and the leaves have just begun to drop from the trees. Adorned with moon phase charms on her skirt, damask owls on her stockings, and a celtic knot leatherwork purse, Hester has taken on a bit of a change from when I first started drawing her nearly 10 years ago. She is, of course, also accompanied by her boot wearing bats and cats! Two of the cats are modelled from my own fur family past and present.
