Hoosac Tunnel - East portal located in Florida, MA poster. This is what it looked like in August of 2008. It has a very interesting history. Here are a few facts I've taken from Wikipedia. The tunnel is 4.75 miles long with the East portal located in Florida, MA and the West portal in North Adams, MA. Work began in 1848 and finished in 1875 for a cost of $21,000,000. It was nicknamed "The Great Bore" and 193 workers lost their lives during construction. The first train went through on February 9, 1875. It was the longest tunnel in North American until the completion of the Moffat Tunnel in 1928, and remains the longest transportation tunnel east of the Rocky Mountains. I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
