Hoplites riding Dolphins ancient Greek pottery art Coffee Mug

This quirky design -featuring four soldiers (Hoplites), wearing armour, holding spears & shields, and riding dolphins- is inspired by an ancient (archaic) Attic red-figure terracotta psykter (vase for cooling wine) of about 520–510 B.C., attributed to Oltos. The psykters were used in symposiums, parties basically. So, you could use this wonderful mug for a party, too - after all, mugs can hold all sorts of liquids, not just tea or coffee!
