Hotta Mokko Travel Mug

The crest used by the legitimate line of the Masatoshi family was initially a corner-cut angle with a vertical mokko. Masatoshi changed it to the current crest on July 22, 1679 (Tensho 7). The current crest is the Hotta Mokko with a 'stone-holding background', nearly 20 years after the main family line disappeared. Moreover, the territory of the Masatoshi Hotta family was transferred to the Ou region, and then returned to the old territory of Sakura in 1746 (Enkyo 3). ...In the difficult times of the Bakumatsu period, the Hotta family produced Masayoshi Hotta, the last Roju. Masayoshi struggled with the conclusion of the Ansei provisional treaty with the American envoy Harris, and was replaced by Naosuke Ii, who was later assassinated at the Sakuradamon Gate.
