At 10 years old, my daughter had to have an emergency appendectomy. It was unexpected and scary, but being the resilient girl she is, she handled it all amazingly well. While she was home recovering she, of course, got lots of TLC and treats. One day she asked for a treat and said to me, "I haven't had a brownie ALL DAY."
