This painting is based on the lemon lavender cookies at Main Grain Bakery in Stevens Point. My friends just LOVE these cookies. The bakery is connected to a coffee shop-- one I really love and have loved for a long time. From my first time going there with a friend to hear live music at The Garage, to my first date with my husband at Emy J's, to all the Fridays I cruised over to Main Grain for a little sweet on my day off from working at "da rayroad", good things abound at this string of local businesses. My affinity for this local business collection translated beautifully into this painting, if I do say so myself.
