Ikeda Mukai Cho Medium Gift Bag
The Ikeda family crest used by the Kamogata-Ikeda family: In 1672, when Mitsumasa retired and his eldest son Tsunamasa succeeded him, he gave his younger brother Masatoki 25,000 koku of newly developed land and established a branch domain in Kamogata, Toyonaka (Okayama Prefecture). The family crest is 'Mukai Cho' ("Ikeda Mukai Cho"), and the alternate crest is 'Mitsubotan'. (from "The Family Crests of Daimyo Families" by Kenichi Takahashi) / The 'Mukai' refers to two things facing each other. The character 'Mukai' is used to distinguish it from a crest with things directly facing each other. (from "The Story of Family Crests" by Tsumao Awagasaka)
