Illusions of Matter by Deprise Crossbody Bag
This artwork comes from an original encaustic mixed media painting. 'Illusions of Matter' captures the ultimate illusions of glamour and beauty against the backdrop of LA. The metamorphosis symbolised by the butterfly wings marks breaking through the illusions of matter. We see the upper eyes clearly while the lower eyes are masked. Our third eye sees clearly while our physical eyes remain veiled. The upside down dream catcher suggests the dream world is more real than the waking state, hinting at our upside down view of what is real. The mosaic of stonework (jade, moonstone, quartz, jasper and pebble) is set in the encaustic medium symbolising the matter that creates all things. This matter waits in the eithers until it is manifest in the physical to be encountered through the human experience.

I'm loving this cross body bag is fabulous! It feels very sturdy and well made, it has pockets inside to keep your keys, phone and lipsticks separate and so things don't get lost in the bottom of the bag. I love the adjustable strap, so you can wear it long cross body, or shorten it and wear as a handbag. A great size, and the handles are strong with good stitching. I've had many compliments about the bag, I love it! The print is outstandingly good! I ordered the bag to see how the print stacks up against my original painting and I have to say, the print wowed me! It has captured my painting well and the colours are beautiful, very true to my painting. Some pics of my original painting and the bag next to it, fabulous print job!

What a great bag ! Really useful, great quality and colourful print. The colours a slightly bluer than the preview suggests but Joanne Short's wonder painting looks brilliant on this all over printed bag.
