Greetings from the African bush! This postcard features a colour digital photograph of the most common antelope to be seen while on a game drive in the national parks and game reserves of South Africa, Africa. The impala, or "ryverbybokkie" in Afrikaans, which translated means "ride past buck" receives it fond nickname due to the high number of daily sightings of this antelope viewed during your bush experience. Their name comes from the Zulu language meaning gazelles and aepyceros melampus is from the greek language meaning high horn black foot.
