In response to being called difficult for standing up for my opinions and ideas about MY OWN Ph.D. research, I started to read about other so-called 'difficult' women. I found this quote by Karen Karbo, the author of the book "In Praise of Difficult Women" which resonated with me so much I needed it on a mug.
