This design features the international flag of Planet Earth, designed by Oskar Pernefeldt. The seven circles symbolise the seven continents of Earth (i.e. Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North America and South America); the rings also form a flower pattern, which symbolises the importance of life on Earth. The background is blue to represent the oceans on our "Blue Planet". The flag is intended "to remind the people of Earth that we share this planet, no matter of national boundaries" and "that we should take care of each other and the planet we live on".
