The photo of this little monkey named Max was taken by my best friend Robbi Mitchell many many years ago while visiting Kenya on safari. I found the photo and immediately new I HAD to draw a pet pawtrait of him. Although the photograph shows Max living in a cage, I decided to free him by placing ivy in his hands rather than the cold metal bars that he was really clinging too.
