An original drawing of Isis, who was an Egyptian goddess.
Isis was married to Osiris, when he was killed and his body chopped in to pieces it was Isis who travelled around Egypt, collecting all the pieces together. She then brought him back to life as the king of the underworld. To the Egyptians she was the ideal wife and mother, and her tears made the Nile flood, bringing with it the rich, fertile soil they grew their crops in.
