This design was originally created for the British population in World War II when a German invasion seemed likely. Three different posters were printed but only two were actually used. This poster was never used, was found in storage years after the war and then millions were destroyed. Today it is commonly seen in memes in a thousand different varieties. Chin up old boy, girl too, lol. Wrap your gift in this tissue paper and cheer someone up - but keep a stiff upper lip. The application of this decoupage paper was very simple , applied with PVA glue on a plywood surface. The colour stayed true to paper before application . I used cling film to apply over ply wood , no wrinkles , very pleased with the result.
