Emilee (Age 5) and Ivy (Age 4) are best friends with very special hearts. Both girls were diagnosed with congenital heart defects while still in the womb. They are so thankful for early detection, because as soon as they were born, the CHOC team of cardiovascular specialists were ready for their arrival. They both had heart surgery as newborns. Their families met shortly after, and now they call each other best friend. They love to have play dates, splash around at the beach, and take ballet classes together. They are so thankful to CHOC for fixing their hearts so they can live active, joy-filled lives.
