King Edward III is considered to be one of England's greatest Kings. He won numerous victories against the French during the first years of what would come to be the Hundred Years War.
He and his wife Philippa of Hainault had thirteen children, most of whom survived to become adults. Ultimately though, this led to the Wars of the Roses.
